Georg Jensen is subject to UK personal data law in force at any time. As a result, Georg Jensen A/S (“Georg Jensen”), Danish company reg. no. 26573645, Søndre Fasanvej 7, 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark is the data controller for the information collected about customers and visitors to the website

Collection of personal data

Georg Jensen collects, saves and processes personal data about you in connection with your use of our website You will always be informed when personal data is collected about you. These personal data will often be your name, address, e-mail address, your employer where you give a work delivery address, phone number, gender, age, and date of birth. A payment services provider collects payment details on our behalf, such as credit or debit card numbers, expiry dates and security codes.

We also collect technical data from cookies which includes internet protocol (IP) address, any login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.

When submitting information, it will always be stated whether the submission is voluntary or necessary for the execution of the desired action, such as the completion of a purchase in our web shop.

The starting point is that information is collected directly from you, but we may also receive information from other sources, including if third parties disclose this in connection with the purchase of gifts and similar.

Execution of orders in the web shop

For the purpose of completing and delivering orders that you make in Georg Jensen's web shop, Georg Jensen processes information about you in order to fulfil the contract, for example, we will ask for your e-mail address so that we can send you a confirmation and a receipt of your purchase.

Click & Reserve

In order to reserve products when you use our Click and Reserve Service, Georg Jensen collects and shares the personal information provided such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number with the group company that operates the store in which you have chosen to collect the reserved products so that they can identify you. We process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest, cf.  Article 6 (1), litra f, of the General Data Protection Regulation, where our legitimate interest is to be able to reserve an item for you at the store.

Queries about products

In order to respond to queries that you submit in connection with price, stock and dealer status, we have a legitimate business interest to have your email address or telephone number in order to respond properly to your query.

Financial information

All card transactions entered into on the website are processed by a third party payment processor, Adyen B.V. (“Adyen”). You will provide your payment information to Adyen and Adyen’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions of Use will govern use and disclosure of that information. Georg Jensen does not store your financial information, but has access to some of the payment information, such as relevant payment card type, partially anonymized payment card number and the expiry date, for fraud prevention reasons.

Payment with PayPal

In order to offer you payment with Paypal, it is necessary to disclose your personal and contact information, as well as information about your order to PayPal.

Use of this information will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and PayPal's privacy policy.

Payment with Klarna

In order to offer you payment with Klarna, it is necessary to disclose your personal and contact information, as well as information about your order to Klarna.

Marketing communication and newsletters

You have the option to register your e-mail address on a mailing list at Georg Jensen so you can receive news and other information on a regular basis. If you have given your consent to receive marketing communication and newsletters, Georg Jensen will process your personal information for sending newsletters/marketing communication by e-mail and sms from Georg Jensen that includes current offers, information about events and news at Georg Jensen. With whom does Georg Jensen share your personal information?

Georg Jensen does not disclose your personal information to third parties unless it is necessary for the fulfilment of our contract with you, for example to payment services providers to process your payment, and carriers in connection with the delivery of orders, or we have your permission.

However, under certain circumstances and pursuant to the law, it may be necessary to disclose personal data to public authorities or the police. For example, information may be disclosed to the police in case of suspicion of credit card fraud.

If you have signed up for our newsletters and other marketing content and have chosen the United Kingdom as your home market, your personal data will be shared with Georg Jensen Ltd. in order for Georg Jensen Ltd. to e.g. invite you to events in a local Georg Jensen store or to provide you with other relevant marketing content. Georg Jensen A/S and Georg Jensen Ltd. have established a joint controllership regarding this specific setup with the purpose of giving you the best customer experience in relation to relevant marketing information. The joint controllership enables Georg Jensen Ltd. to contact you directly and to process your personal data for their own purposes in relation to providing you with relevant marketing content. Both Georg Jensen A/S and Georg Jensen Ltd. are responsible for protecting your rights as a data subject, ensuring the necessary security measures and use of data processors. The transfer of personal data from Georg Jensen A/S to Georg Jensen Ltd. under the joint controllership is based on the Commission Decision 2004/915/EU of 27 December 2004 (Controller to controller).

In certain instances, Georg Jensen transfers your personal data to Georg Jensen's suppliers who provide services on behalf of Georg Jensen, for example, billing, sales, marketing, IT support, advertising, analytics, research, product service support, shipping and purchase order fulfilment, data storage, validation, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, and legal services. These suppliers process personal data on behalf of Georg Jensen and in accordance with Georg Jensen's instructions and thus cannot process personal data for their own purposes.

In addition, we may send non-reversible hashed personal information collected on our website, e.g., IP address, e-mail address, telephone number and postal code, as well as in certain cases information about your interest in one or more of Georg Jensen's products to social media providers, such as Facebook or Instagram, and other digital advertising platforms. This because Georg Jensen uses such platforms for advertising. The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is our interest in disseminating knowledge of Georg Jensen's products and services, cf. Article 6 (1), litra f of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The social media providers and digital advertising platforms we use in connection with our marketing act in accordance with their own terms as data processors on behalf of Georg Jensen when they process your personal data. Georg Jensen has therefore entered into the necessary data processor agreements. However, it cannot be ruled out that the providers of social media and other digital advertising platforms also process the personal data for their own purposes in joint data responsibility with Georg Jensen. That is why you have been informed above about the possibility of objecting to the providers of digital platforms. Our legal basis for the possible disclosure to social media providers and digital advertising platforms is also based on a legitimate interest in disseminating knowledge of Georg Jensen's products and services, cf. Article 6 (1), litra f, of the General Data Protection Regulation.  Your personal data is processed solely for the above purposes and is stored only for as long as it is necessary for Georg Jensen to process or store them for use in the above purposes or on the basis of another legitimate purpose, cf. section "Retention of personal data" below, or until we receive your objection to the processing of your personal data for the above purposes.

In addition, we may disclose your personal data to other Georg Jensen group entities in order to deliver products and services to you, to ensure a consistent level of service across our products and services, to enhance our products, services and your customer experience.

A number of Georg Jensen's suppliers who process personal data on behalf of Georg Jensen are located outside the EU/EEA. However, we only transfer personal data to suppliers who can provide the necessary guarantees that an adequate level of data protection is in place. Therefore, your personal data will only be transferred to a recipient outside the EU/EEA, if we have entered into a standard contract approved by the EU Commission with the party concerned.

Georg Jensen does not store names and e-mail addresses of users who participated in, for example, competitions, after the competition has ended, unless those participants have consented to the use of their personal data for another purpose, such as a My Georg Jensen membership or inclusion on our e-mailing list.

The information may also be stored for an extended period in anonymous form, i.e. it will no longer be possible to connect the information to you.

Your rights

When exercising any of the rights listed below, we may need to ask you to verify your identity before we process your request. We will endeavour to respond and deal with all requests within one calendar month.

You are entitled to know and access the information about you which Georg Jensen processes and the purpose for which the information is processed. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, including profiling, and the right to demand correction, deletion or blocking of information that is incorrect, misleading or similarly processed in breach of the law, or demand restriction of the processing. International transfer of data

Our website is also accessible from overseas so on occasion some personal data (for example in a newsletter or any details on My Georg Jensen) may be accessed from overseas. Use by children

You must be 16 years of age to use the website and to provide Georg Jensen with any per-sonal data. Georg Jensen does not knowingly collect or maintain any personal data from children under the age of 16, and no part of this website is designed with the purpose of attracting such children.
