Inspired by the transcendent beauty of Nordic light and the changing phases of the Moon, the Halo collection brings a feeling of effortless and natural elegance.

Two magnificent rows of diamonds form the upper side of the golden HALO bangle. The diamonds are placed with meticulous precision by hand, and therefore the result is a truly unique piece of jewellery.

Once the lock on the HALO bangle is fastened it becomes a part of who you are – and as it is something so special, it is only fitting that you keep it with you always.

“I have tried to instil a touch of lightness in the designs, and you could almost call it an aura of effortlessness,” says designer Sophie Bille Brahe when describing the creation process. “It was important to me that the collection was part Georg Jensen and part me. The Georg Jensen design language represents these beautiful curved, very soft lines, whereas my designs are very precise and clean. In order to merge these two, apparent opposites, I chose the circular shape and added a softness with a precise look.”

The HALO bangle is made out of 18 karat gold and the diamond total depends on the size of the bangle, from 1.72 – 1.83 carat.

Since establishing her eponymous fine jewellery label in Copenhagen in 2011, Sophie Bille Brahe has been at the forefront of a new wave of contemporary designers whose fresh approach to technique and form has created a new era in fine jewellery design.

Bille Brahe trained as a goldsmith in Copenhagen and later earned a Masters degree in jewellery design at the Royal College of Art in London. Today, she works with a small team in a city studio in a converted schoolhouse in Copenhagen, creating pieces by hand using old goldsmith techniques. Bille Brahe’s collections are infused with a distinctly modern style, yet her approach is classic, rooted in a desire for clarity. The geometry of nature – and the night sky in particular – is a perennial inspiration.

She follows in the tradition of innovative designers, who throughout the years, have been invited to collaborate with Georg Jensen.

Bille Brahe admits that working with Georg Jensen is something that, as a Danish jeweller, she always aspired to. “It is a story at the heart of Denmark – everybody here feels it and recognises the name Georg Jensen. It is part of our Danish design legacy.”
