Delicately crafted from a single strand of 18kt gold, these subtly sculptural earrings were designed by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe - the first female silversmith to open her own workshop in Sweden. Her Forget-Me-Knot collection dates back to 1971, and is characterised by its elegant twists and curves.

Torun’s journey into silversmithing began at an early age, influenced by her artistic mother and architect father. She pursued formal training at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, where she honed her craft and developed her unique style.

Torun's work is renowned for its simplicity, elegance, and organic forms, often incorporating sterling silver and precious stones. She rejected the ornate and embraced minimalism, focusing on the natural beauty of materials and the harmony of design. Her philosophy was that jewellery should complement the wearer, not overshadow them. This approach earned her international acclaim and collaborations with prominent figures, including Pablo Picasso and Duke Ellington.
In 1956, Torun moved to France, where she continued to innovate and inspire. Her creations, such as the iconic Vivianna bangle watch for Georg Jensen, remain timeless symbols of her visionary artistry. Torun’s legacy endures through her reissued collections, which continue to celebrate her groundbreaking spirit and enduring impact on the world of jewellery design. She passed away on July 3, 2004, leaving behind a rich heritage that continues to influence contemporary jewellery makers.
