Standing tall and handsome, the Beak pitcher takes its visual starting point from none other than an Emperor penguin. Designer Maria Bernsten enjoys adding some element of humour into her designs but never at the expense of practicality: the silhouette may look quirky and beautiful but the sleek shape means that pouring is easy, with no spills or drips.

Maria Bernsten works in many different fields at Georg Jensen, creating some of the company’s best known and most loved products. From candle holders and mirrors to jugs and cutlery, her work is defined by timeless quality, functionalism and a sense of humour.

The pitcher’s streamline shape is highlighted by its shiny surface, achieved by mirror-polishing stainless steel. It can hold up to 1.75 litres of fluid.
