2020 Candle holder, Ice Dianthus

Nothing evokes the true cosy Christmas feeling more than having real candles on the tree! Add to the charm and excitement with this beautiful 18 karat gold plated holder with its depiction of an ice dianthus flower that catches the light as the candle burns.

Given the task of creating Georg Jensen’s 2020 Christmas collectibles, longtime collaborator Sanne Lund Traberg turned to the Art Nouveau photographs of Karl Blossfeldt for inspiration. The beauty of the flowers he so strikingly portrayed was then transformed into decorations that convey the icy allure of a winter garden.

Crafted from zinc alloy, the candle holder is then plated with 18 karat gold in Georg Jensen’s own workshop in Denmark.
