We hope you will enjoy using our online shop.
PLACING AN ORDER
By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
- you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and
- you are at least 18 years old.
After placing your order we will send you an e-mail confirming that you have placed your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product.
All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that your order has been filled and shipped (“Shipping E-mail”). The contract between you and us will only be formed when we send you the Shipping E-mail.
Where a product requires hallmarking due to mandatory law (your proof of the value of the precious metal), the shipping tracking number provided will only be activated 72-96 hours after processing of the order.
We do not accept orders for delivery outside the UK on our website. To ship to other countries, including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Overseas Territories, click “United Kingdom” in the top right corner of the desktop site or in the menu on mobile and select your destination country from the list that appears. Select “Other countries” for the above islands, etc.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices are listed in Great British Pounds (“GBP”) and include VAT, currently 20%. We reserve the right to change our prices with immediate effect and without prior notice. Prices are typically adjusted on 1 February each year. The price applicable to your purchase is that which is listed on the website for the product in question at the time that you place your order.
FREE SHIPPING (WITHIN THE UK) FOR ORDERS ABOVE £100
Georg Jensen offers free delivery within the UK for items providing you spend £100 or more in one transaction.
SHIPPING METHODS AND FEES
The below delivery charges are for deliveries within the UK only.
- Standard delivery: GBP 6.50, except where free shipping is advertised on our website.
See below for delivery timescales. Free shipping may be offered in connection with campaigns.
The shipping charges will be listed on the checkout pages and in the order confirmation that you will receive via e-mail.
To place an order to be shipped to countries other than the UK, including Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Overseas Territories, click “United Kingdom” in the top right corner of the desktop site or in the menu on mobile and select your destination country from the list that appears. Select “Other countries” for the above islands, etc.
We accept payment with the following cards: VISA, VISA Debit, VISA Electron, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro. There are no surcharges for payments made with these credit cards. When you place an order, the payment total will be reserved on your account, but the money will not be deducted from your account until we ship your order.
Georg Jensen encrypts all of your card data with the so-called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorised persons cannot read your card number or other information transmitted during the transaction with Ingenico ePayments, who handles payments for purchases made on our website. Note that the page where you provide your payment information looks different from the rest of the shop. This is due to the requirement from Ingenico ePayments that the page must be secure and the information encrypted.
You can order online at any time you wish. The Georg Jensen staff processes orders Monday-Friday from 10am - 5:30pm. Orders placed outside of these hours will be processed on the following business day.
Delivery will be made to the UK delivery address provided by you.
You can expect to receive your order within 1-5 business days, cf. below:
- if we have received your order before 12pm on a day which is not a weekend or bank holiday (“business day”), the next business day;
- if you place your order after 12pm it will be dispatched the following business day;
- if hallmarking of a product of precious metals is required, the expected delivery time will be up to 5 business days.
However we cannot guarantee local delivery conditions, and so cannot provide a guaranteed delivery time at the customer/recipient address. If the desired product is not in stock at the time you place your order, we will contact you by phone or e-mail to make arrangements.
As a consumer, you have the right to cancel the purchase order if the delivery is delayed in relation to the applicable agreement.
We insure all shipments against loss and damage while they are in transit from Georg Jensen to the recipient address. As soon as the shipment has been signed for at the agreed delivery address, the insurance will lapse, and you will be responsible for looking after the products. If your package is damaged upon arrival, we recommend that you make a note that you have received a damaged package when signing for the shipment.
RIGHT TO CANCEL AND EXCHANGE
You have the right to cancel your purchase made on the website at any stage between placing your order and within 14 days of receiving your goods without explanation. Refunds will not be issued from any Georg Jensen boutique.
To cancel your order, you must inform us unambiguously that you wish to withdraw, by post to:
Bond Street House
14 Clifford Street
London, W1S 4JU
or e-mail to: email@example.com, or telephone +44 207 499 6541. You cannot simply choose not to receive/sign for the package upon delivery. You may use the Cancellation Notice (which will also be enclosed with your package), but this is not obligatory. You can also download the Cancellation Notice here.
You have the right to exchange the goods within 14 days of receiving your goods. If you wish to exchange, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your preferred item and we will reserve it for you if the item is in stock. In the lower part of the return form that is included with your package, you can specify the reason for the exchange and the product you wish to receive in exchange.
If the price of the goods you wish to receive in exchange is cheaper than the price paid for the goods you wish to exchange, the difference in price will be transferred to the payment card with which the purchase was made unless agreed otherwise between us. Where the price of the goods you wish to receive in exchange is more expensive than the price paid for the goods you wish to exchange, you will need to arrange for the payment of the difference in price before we are able to exchange the goods. These exchange instructions are also included on the return form that is included with your package.
If you wish to cancel a purchase, you must return the product to us. You will be liable for any deterioration in the product's value that is due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the products' nature, characteristics and method of functioning. Since the product's packaging, such as boxes for jewellery, watches and other items, is important for possible resale of the product, any damage to or failure to return the packaging will be deemed to be a deterioration in its value. You assume the risk of ensuring that the product is packaged responsibly when it is returned.
You must return the product(s) without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which you informed us of your wish to withdraw or exchange.
Product returns, for either cancelled orders or exchanges, must be sent to the following address:
Bond Street House
14 Clifford Street
London, W1S 4JU
You will pay the return shipping cost. We suggest that you insure the shipment so that you may claim compensation from the shipping provider if your package is lost in transit. We request that returns are shipped through a registered delivery method so that you have a record of their return. Please note that we do not accept packages sent as cash on delivery.
When you cancel a purchase we will refund your payment to your account as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we have received the returned goods or, if received earlier, evidence from you that you have returned the goods.
Refunds will be transferred to the payment card with which the purchase was made unless agreed otherwise between us.
These return instructions are also included on the return form that is included with your package.
RESTRICTIONS ON CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
You will be refunded for standard delivery charges only for cancellations.
You shall not have the right to cancel your order for, or to exchange, goods which are clearly personalised.
The procedures set out here to cancel an order or exchange a product do not affect your right to reject faulty goods.
For claims regarding defects or deliveries that have not arrived, please contact:
Bond Street House
14 Clifford Street
London, W1S 4JU
