Inspired by the transcendent beauty of Nordic light and the changing phases of the Moon, the Halo collection brings a feeling of effortless and natural elegance.

Two golden circles are embellished with diamonds and placed closely together to form a dramatic ear hoop that is both bold and timeless.

The circles are almost identical in size, and that is to create a strong graphical expression when viewed in profile. It still has an element of organic softness, which serves as a fine contrast to the sharp minimalism you experience when viewing the ear hoops from the front.

The HALO collection was designed by Danish designer Sophie Bille Brahe, and she had a certain type of woman in mind during the creation process; a modern girl with an easy, relaxed attitude and a natural glow surrounding her.

Crafting the earrings with double sided diamond setting requires extra accuracy and craftmanship, as setting holes are drilled on both sides of the piece, and it takes careful attention to detail to align the diamonds perfectly by hand.

The effect created by diamonds on both sides is truly remarkable, and it’s one that has to be experienced in person.

The HALO earhoops is crafted from 18 karat gold, and the diamond pave total is 1.24 carat.

Since establishing her eponymous fine jewellery label in Copenhagen in 2011, Sophie Bille Brahe has been at the forefront of a new wave of contemporary designers whose fresh approach to technique and form has created a new era in fine jewellery design.

Bille Brahe trained as a goldsmith in Copenhagen and later earned a Masters degree in jewellery design at the Royal College of Art in London. Today, she works with a small team in a city studio in a converted schoolhouse in Copenhagen, creating pieces by hand using old goldsmith techniques. Bille Brahe’s collections are infused with a distinctly modern style, yet her approach is classic, rooted in a desire for clarity. The geometry of nature – and the night sky in particular – is a perennial inspiration.

She follows in the tradition of innovative designers, who throughout the years, have been invited to collaborate with Georg Jensen.

Bille Brahe admits that working with Georg Jensen is something that, as a Danish jeweller, she always aspired to. “It is a story at the heart of Denmark – everybody here feels it and recognises the name Georg Jensen. It is part of our Danish design legacy.”
