Designed with the idea that everyone–even the most serious adults among us–appreciates a touch of fun, the SALT & PEPPER SET encourages you to play with it.

Mushroom-shaped and complementary black and white, the set almost looks like a children’s toy at first glance. The stainless steel bottom is weighted so that, despite not having a flat bottom, the shakers will always remain upright. It will wobble and swing back and forth but always return to its original position, making it irresistible to touch. The plastic is smooth and the curves of the object are soft.

The designer’s goal was to take a very mundane object and give it a totally unexpected design. Since shakers themselves are such practical objects, he wanted to give them qualities whose only function is to amuse.
