CACTUS–functionality meets beautifully sculpted silver

CACTUS has simple lines and beautiful detail

Gundolph Albertus was an influential member of the Georg Jensen team. From 1926 to 1954, he held the title of production director. It was his job to oversee all productions and in sure that design and quality were in keeping with the overall standards set forth by Georg Jensen himself.

Albertus was trained as a sculptor, however, and this background comes through in his designs. There is a distinctly Art Deco style to CACTUS, a reference to the era in which it was launched.

His role as production director demanded meticulous attention to detail and the design of CACTUS is no exception: the stylised ornamentation is sculpturally perfect.
